Position performs mobile crane, heavy equipment operations necessary to lift, move, and position all types of cargoes including such items as machinery, missile assemblies, tooling, and test fixtures required to support critical launch operation on CCAFS. Candidate must have the ability to operate various types of Mobile Cranes, Gantry Cranes and Portal Cranes. Equipment Operators must have the ability to develop and read lift plans associated with lifting loads of a critical nature. Ability to operate other heavy equipment (dozers, frontend loaders, etc) and multi-axle vehicles used to support transportation and handling of heavy equipment. Become familiar with NAVFAC P307 Management of Weight Handling Equipment program from Navy Crane Center.
High School Diploma or equivalent with specialized training related to mobile crane operations. CDL license. Five years related experience within the past six years. CCO mobile crane certification preferred. Possession of a current security clearance or National Agency Check with Information (NACI) is highly desired.
