GCR performs base operating support (BOS) services including grounds maintenance, custodial, transportation maintenance, pest control, street sweeping, and snow removal services, constantly responding to changing customer needs. Using GCR’s proprietary web-based computerized maintenance management and quality control systems, project managers at Pax River are able to access the Maximo work control system to automatically match up service orders with the appropriate building and client. Contract administrators with the Navy can essentially track the workflow real-time.
Patuxent River Naval Air Station is one of the nation’s premier facilities for the test and evaluation of advanced weapons systems, with the emphasis on those used with naval aviation applications. The NAS Patuxent River (Pax River) complex comprises more than 7000 acres in and around Lexington Park, MD. NAS Pax River stretches across 25 miles of shoreline 65 miles southeast of Washington, DC and 90 miles south of Baltimore. As the home for three major Navy commands, Pax River has become the largest employer in the community.
